You have to remember that at 1am on the Saturday morning the gearbox had a huge hole in it and we had to replace it prior to the show.

The the offical timing was only ran upto 1pm.. my last run (below) was ran at 12.59:58s talk about cutting it fine!! 
It was worth all the hardwork and next years aim is to beat the R32 wd Turbo times.. 
I know I had the pace on them once in 3rd gear.

R-Tech fastest in class GTI International 26th June 2011
The R-Tech Golf GTI managed to get the fastest 2wd MK4 0-60 run and 1/4 miles pass on Sunday afternoon. Track temps where sky higher with outside temp reading 34deg, but we still managed a 0-60mph in 5.5s (on the stock diff) and crossed the line in 13.8s @ 115mph. 1.8T 180bhp AUQ / 150BHP Boost surge & 17705 fix
We have been updated with many emails from 1.8T 20v owners which have Golf, Seat & Skoda VRS with the AUM and AUQ engine codes. They have reported issues of there remaps from other tuners causing boost surge and 17705 limp mode / fault codes.
The fault IS based in the OEM mapping and once remapped the fault is highlighted and becomes a really anoying issues when trying to drive the car in a smooth linear style. It took us close on 7 months to produce a map code which was was happy to sell and provide to our customers, this is reflected in our feedback since 2005
We have known about these surge issues since 2004 when we started our development on out Gen3 map code for the later AUM/AUQ map software.
We spent the whole summer in 2005 on out own Skoda 180 AUM VRS mapping out the fault code, the end result was a unique one off custom map ccode unique to the R-Tech gen4 5 and gen6 custom and generic mapping code.
All R-Tech AUM AUQ maps have had the anit surge mapping code loaded since late 2005, which has provied all of our customers with one of the BEST developed 1.8T remaps in europe. Linear throttle control, smooth boost, no 17705 fault codes related to the map code. We have over 3000 very happy customers running the R-Tech Gen codes and have had many many 10000s of miles of faultless fun.
If your car is already spec1 mapped by another tuner we can provide the map patch for £150 all inc.
If your going from stock to spec1 then the R-Tech gen6 remap will be £200, which includes rolling road session.
All of our spec2 and custom remap will also be based around the R-Tech Gen6 code.

R-Tech Charity Day £1100 raised £1100 for Menphys
WTF happened on the 17th Jan 2009??
The worst winter in 30 odd years and some many people braved it and turned up as if it was a mid summer meet. We was not expecting the turn out like we had, maybe 8-10 cars max and a few to turn to watch with the rest stopping at home keeping warm. Credit to you all who came along and got your feet cold!!!
The final total raised for charity was £1100, after me and the wife spent 3 hours counting and bagging the money at 11pm last night. This will be paid in to the back and a cheque wrote out and handed over later this week in front the local news paper (time for a shave and hair cut me thinks)
I would like to thank EVERYONE who helped out, turned up, took part and dontated. A big thanks to Chris and Ben for working there only day off..lol and thanks to Ade & Hulmie to helping promote the event and spending most of the day helping out.
